They were challenged to add multiple hills and loops and how changing the height and size of the marble affected the ride down.

On Wednesday, April 3rd, first grade students had the opportunity to visit Sorghum Valley. First grade’s reading unit has been about how Tennessee has changed over time. While at Sorghum Valley they had 16 guest speakers that spoke about and dressed up like times in the past. This was a great day for students to experience what they had learned in the classroom. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this day possible!

Get ready for the STEAM Bus to roll into Newbern Elementary this week. It will be parked in the front drive but morning drop off will continue with one lane. Don't forget students can also be dropped off at the blue hall by the gym parking lot. We are so excited to be able to experience the activities the STEAM Roller will be bringing to us this week.

On Tuesday, December 18th our students will be presenting our "Holiday Music Program". Our PK-2 program will begin at 8:30 am and our 3-5 program will begin at 1:00 pm.
