To promote the healthy growth and development of children assisting each member of the family and work to resolve problems that may be keeping the child from succeeding in school.
To encourage social support and communication to reduce isolation of the family and help each member be involved in the school and community.
To ensure that the family has access to services and assistance which is appropriate and needed.
To provide preventive services in hopes of improving the quality of life for each child and family.
Parenting Classes - the Family Resource Center provides a variety of parenting classes. For example: anger management, budgeting, career goals, and self-esteem.
Mentoring of Students - this program matches concerned adults with selected students who are in need of positive reinforcement. Mentors are volunteers that are kind, concerned adults who offer students support and guidance.
Referrals to Outside Agencies - the Family Resource Center works with the family and determines the services that are needed. Families are made aware of the resources available in the community which address their needs. The Family Resource Center works closely with the family to resolve any problems they may have.
